Enticing aromas of spicy raspberry and blackberry merge with hints of cherry, sweet vanillin oak and baking spices. The smooth texture holds luscious flavors of mixed ripe berries and black pepper. Full-flavored and nicely balanced with lingering spicy blackberry make this wine easy to enjoy and pair with your favorite foods.

Fermentation

The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks utilizing indigenous yeast.  The resulting wine was aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels.

About the Name

The Wentworth Zinfandel is named to honor Fred Wentworth, who in 1869 opened Alexander Valley’s first general store on the property that is now Soda Rock Winery.
