Tasting Notes

Gold Medal Winner, 2016 Sonoma County Harvest Fair Wine Competition

Dark, deep-set ripe fruit aromas mingle with spicy black and white pepper and just a whisper of orange peel to create an almost exotic scent. That exotic quality is repeated on the palate. From the smooth yet spicy entry to the lingering blackberry and creamy coffee essence, this is no any ordinary wine. The complexity of flavors includes blackberry and huckleberry with hints of cappuccino, cardamom, anise, white pepper and citrus.
Fun to just sip and enjoy, this wine will also pair well with an arugula salad with a blackberry vinaigrette, grilled lamb chops with your favorite rub, and a mixed berry tart drizzled with warm mocha fudge sauce for dessert.
